Divorced Men Spend More Time with Their Children

Overview

During my Ux-Ui Course guided by Sagi Shriber, I was required to think about an existing problem for which an appropriate solution can be found in the application.

The Problem

I'm divorced andI have 2 lovely daughters. I want them to be in a good relationship with their father, and to make sure they meet their father as much as he can.
I tried to think about an app. that will take into consideration the children's basic need to be in healthy contact with both their mom and dad, and to allow the father Independent access to their daily tasks and regular updates.

Competitors Research

I checked out which similar apps exist in the market. I have tried them in order to understand how they meet users' needs, and I found out there is no existing application which provides more flexibile visits .

The Survey

I 've made a survey on google forms about "Divorced fathers who want to be involved in their children's lives" . I published the survey in groups of divorced people at facebook.
0 %

Report that there is no Cooperation in matters related to the children

0 %

0 %

Are Intrested in greater involvement in their children’s lives

Personas

During my research I chose Eran as my persona. Eran is 39 years old, lives in Tel-Aviv, divorced with 2 kids. He is very buzy and somtimes cancells his visits and not very involved in his children lives.
His 'pain point' is that he feels that the fact he is not the custodial parent, does not enable him to be a good father as he wishes. He really wants to take a bigger part in his children lives.

The Logo

I designed a logo with the idea of a close and personal parent-child relationship. I used blue colors that are considered Masculine colors. The logo conveys a sense of coziness, calm and closeness.

App. Design

The app. is made for divorced parents who wish for a good and close relationship between the noncustodial parent and his children. This makes it possible to get all the necessary updates and information without the intermediation of the custodial parent.
In addition it helps to avoid cases of missing visits, and even encourages more frequent visits.
